Seneca County teen saves 2 trapped underwater in vehicle

Police credit a Romulus teenager with rescuing two others after the vehicle they were riding in rolled over into a pond on Sunday.
Seneca County (WSYR-TV) – Police credit a Romulus teenager with rescuing two others after the vehicle they were riding in rolled over into a pond on Sunday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Holly Klue of Waterloo lost control of a Ford Explorer she was driving when it hit a curve on Post Road in the town of Fayette.

They say the vehicle rolled into a pond, trapping the three occupants – including Klue, 14-year-old Nicholas Wheaton of Romulus and 16-year-old Teresa Jensen of Romulus.

The Sheriff’s Office says Wheaton escaped from the vehicle and called 911, then pulled both Klue and Jensen from the vehicle.

All three suffered scrapes and bruises.

Klue was cited for speeding.
