Shooting leaves Syracuse woman in critical condition

A Syracuse woman is in critical condition after being shot in the face early Saturday morning.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A Syracuse woman is in critical condition after being shot in the face early Saturday morning.

Police were already in the middle of a separate shooting investigation when they were called to 143 North Midler Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

At the scene, officers found 21 year old Larae Williams, who was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition.

Police say this was "not a random shooting".  They believe a 21 year old man shot Williams and took off before police arrived. 

The suspect is not in custody. The investigation is described as very active. Anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 442-5222.
