Southern Tier trio arrested on meth charges

Three people in Chemung County in New York's Southern Tier are facing meth manufacturing charges after being pulled over by Sheriff’s Deputies.
Southport (WSYR-TV/WETM-TV) – Three people in Chemung County in New York's Southern Tier are facing meth manufacturing charges after being pulled over by Sheriff’s Deputies.

According to the Chemung County Sheriff's Office, around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, 30-year-old Ashleigh Grover, from Gillette, left the Hills, Valley, and Streams store in the Southtown Shopping Plaza without paying for an item.

The vehicle she left in was stopped by Sheriff’s Deputies later on, which is where deputies found chemicals and other components to make methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Grover, 55-year-old Caroline Blake, and 34-year-old Boe Blake, both from Gillette, were all charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the third Degree, a felony.

Grover was also charged with petit larceny.

All three were arraigned in the Town of Southport Court Wednesday and sent to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
