Update: State of emergency lifted in the town of Cuyler

A state of emergency implemented in the Cortland County town of Cuyler due to flooding and damages to roadways and bridges has been lifted.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A state of emergency implemented in the Cortland County town of Cuyler due to flooding and damages to roadways and bridges has been lifted.

Town Supervisor Lou Anne Randall had signed the declaration at 9 p.m. Monday night as flood waters rose.

The order was rescinded on Tuesday around 11 a.m.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department issued a warning to all drivers to use caution in and around the Town of Truxton and Cuyler area earlier Monday night.

There were several reports of washed out bridges and roads in and around the area due to the heavy rainfall.
