Suspended Syracuse cop acquitted on assault charge involving ex-girlfriend

A suspended Syracuse Police Officer has been found not guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

Clay (WSYR-TV) – A suspended Syracuse Police Officer has been found not guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

Kevin Blair, 46, of Fulton had been charged with assault after an alleged domestic incident in the town of Clay.

His attorney - Bob Durr- confirmed on Thursday that he was acquitted of the assault charge last week.

Two other charges of violating an order of protection remain unresolved. They have been moved from Town of Clay Court to Town of Cicero Court.

Blair has been suspended from the Syracuse Police Department without pay for over a year.

He has not been reinstated to the force.
