Syracuse Police Chief’s son stabbed again

The son of Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler is recovering from a stab wound he suffered early Sunday morning.
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - The son of Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler is recovering from a stab wound he suffered early Sunday morning.

Syracuse Police said 21-year-old Frank Fowler Jr. was hurt during an altercation at the Upstate Convenience Market on South Avenue at about 12:15 a.m.

Police said Fowler Jr. was in the store when two men, 23-year-olds Demetruis Archie and Antwan Underwood, assaulted him. 

Archie allegedly stabbed Fowler, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Fowler Jr. also suffered a minor stab wound in October, 2012 during a fight outside Lu-Lu’s Bar and Grill in Cicero.

Both Archie and Underwood face multiple charges, including 2nd Degree Assault.

Archie is also charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree.

Underwood faces additional charges as well.  He is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in 3rd, 4th and 7th degrees after he was found to be in possession of crack cocaine.

Both men will be arraigned on Monday.

Police are still looking into a motive for the attack.
