Syracuse Police arrest third suspect in Sabine Street killing

Syracuse Police have charged a third man in connection to a homicide in daylight on the city’s Near West Side on June 2.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have charged a third man in connection to a homicide in daylight on the city’s Near West Side on June 2.

Police say Pedro Romero, 25, of Geddes Street was one of the suspects who chased Andre Rosario-Claudio from the back of the house on the 100 block of Sabine Street and fired shots.

They charged him with second-degree murder.

Police had already charged 26-year-old Maximino Alvarez and 29-year-old Efrain Santos with murder in connection to the shooting death.

Edgardo Rosario-Claudio was also shot during the incident, but he is expected to survive.

Romero was arraigned on Monday.

He is being held in jail without bail.

Romero was the victim in another shooting reported on June 11.
