Syracuse Police have released the identity of a woman who was walking on Ainsley Drive when she was struck by car on Wednesday morning, sustaining injuries that she would later succumb to at the hospital.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have released the identity of a woman who was walking on Ainsley Drive when she was struck by car on Wednesday morning, sustaining injuries that she would later succumb to at the hospital.

Emergency crews and police responded to the scene of a crash on the 200 block of Ainsley Drive near East Brighton Avenue around 6:50 a.m.

59-year-old Deborah Daniels of Syracuse was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where she died.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.

They did not say whether the driver would be ticketed or charged.
