Syracuse Police looking for missing elderly man

Syracuse Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly resident who was last seen on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly resident who was last seen on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.

Howard Max Bragman is a 71-year-old white male who is 5-foot-6 and 150 pounds with shoulder length, thinning gray hair, and is balding.

He has brown eyes and was wearing a dark gray knit hat, a dark colored jacket, gray sweatpants, and boots at the time of his disappearance.

He is missing from 2705 East Genesee St. in Syracuse.

Police say he was last seen walking on the median in the center of the 3400 block of Erie Boulevard East near the Barnes & Noble store.

He has not contacted family member or friends since Nov. 9, according to police.

Police say Bragman has no known medical conditions, however he was involved in a crash on Thursday, Nov. 7. At the time of the crash, emergency personnel said he appeared to be alert and refused medical attention.

He was seen at ShoppingTown Mall’s lower entrance bus stop on Nov. 8 around 6:30 p.m. He was reportedly off balance, police say.

On Nov. 9, around 3:30 a.m. he was spotted on the Syracuse University Campus near Hendricks Chapel. He appeared disoriented and was evaluated by emergency personnel and declined medial attention. He was transported home.

When he was last seen by a family acquaintance on Erie Boulevard, he refused a ride after it was offered.

Police say there is no indication of any criminal or suspicious activity involved in Bragman’s disappearance.
