The flu is ‘What’s Going Around’ this week

If you’re not feeling so good, chances are it could be the flu. That’s “What’s Going Around.”
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- If you’re not feeling so good, chances are it could be the flu. That’s “What’s Going Around.”

Dr. Dracker in Liverpool says he’s had 150 confirmed cases of the flu since this time last week. Other children have an illness that feels like the flu, with a cough, congestion and sore throat, but it’s not influenza.

In Camillus, Dr. Rovall says the flu shows no signs of slowing down. It lasts for a full week and the chills seem to be the most complained about symptom. They’re also seeing colds, a stomach bug and some strep throat.

In Syracuse, Brighton Hill Pediatrics is seeing pink eye and the flu.

It’s the same story at Urgent Care in Fulton where pink eye and the flu are also going around.

In Auburn, doctors are reporting flu, bronchitis, croup and sore throats – both strep and viral.

And in Pulaski, Dr. Carguello is seeing the flu and the stomach bug.

What’s Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Our own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
