WSYR-TV (Hancock) - Doctors at an Albany hospital could not save a toddler who fell from an open window days earlier.
State Troopers from barracks in Binghamton and Deposit were called to an apartment in Hancock, NY on Tuesday, where the child reportedly fell from a second story window.
The toddler was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for treatment, but succumbed to serious injuries on Saturday. The cause of death was ruled to be cardiopulmonary arrest due to severe head trauma.
The Delaware County District Attorney's Office is involved in the investigation, but early reports refer to the death as accidental. No charges have been filed.
