Ithaca (WSYR-TV) - Rescue crews surrounded an apartment house on Aurora Street in Ithaca after a truck slammed into the building on Sunday morning.

Police say the driver of a Ford F250 pick-up truck was coming from Hudson Street, but didn't complete the turn.

The truck crashed into 142 South Aurora Street, knocking out a corner of the home and smashing the front-end of the truck.

Rescue crews responded around 9:00 a.m. and took the driver to Robert Packer Hospital.

The City of Ithaca Building Department worked with the homeowner's maintenance team to reinforce the wall.

The tenant who lived in the damaged apartment could not return home on Sunday morning.
