Corning (WSYR-TV) - Two men have been charged with murder, following the discovery of a body that was hidden in a large kitchen cupboard.
Corning Police were called to a vacant building at 222 Pine Street around 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Since the building didn't have power and there was no sign of anyone inside, officers left the scene.
When they returned early the next day to investigate in daylight, officers found the body of 28-year old Phillip J. Lough.
State Police took the lead in the investigation. By Sunday morning, two people were in custody and charged with second degree Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
20-year old Ryan Jon Morrow from Corning, NY and 23-year old Jacob Andrew Horn from Painted Post, NY were arraigned in the City of Corning Court.
Lough's last known address was in Bath, NY.
The investigation continues. State Police, the Corning Police Department and the Steuben County District Attorney scheduled a news conference to update the investigation on Sunday afternoon.
