Two injured in overnight robberies in Syracuse

Two men were attacked and robbed in Syracuse overnight.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Two men were attacked and robbed in Syracuse overnight.

Police say around 10 Friday night, a 21-year-old man was walking home when three Black men punched him in the face and stole his pizza and bag of groceries. The incident happened near the 2200 block of Midland Avenue.  The victim suffered minor facial injuries.

Hours later, police say a 26-year-old man was pistol whipped by a Black male who stole his cash. It happened at 1:30 a.m. near Merriman and Oswego streets. The victim suffered a cut over his right eye and shoulder pain from falling.

The victims could not provide a detailed description of their attackers. Anyone with information on is asked to contact the Syracuse Police at 315-442-5222.
