Walk to end Alzheimer's disease draws a record crowd

More than a thousand visitors lined up at Long Branch park on Saturday, many of whom have family members dealing with an Alzheimer's disease diagnosis.

Syracuse ( WYSR-TV) - A record number of people raised a record amount of money in Central New York to help end Alzheimer's disease.

More than a thousand visitors lined up at Long Branch park on Saturday, many of whom have family members dealing with a diagnosis.

The 2013 Walk to End Alzheime's raised nearly $150,000 through a three-mile walk.

The largest contributions were made in memory of Trish LeSoine of Cazenovia, bringing in more than $20,000 through individual and corporate donors.
