Man convicted of murdering foreign SU student

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A man who was accused of taking part in the robbery that led to the death of a Chinese student studying abroad at Syracuse University has been convicted of murder.

23-year-old Cameron Isaac was found guilty of first-degree murder on Tuesday.

Xiaopeng Yuan was found dead on Sept. 30 outside of the Springfield Garden Apartments in DeWitt after the robbery.

Isaac and another suspect, Ninimbe Mitchell, had met Yuan for a drug buy.

Isaac is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole.
