Manlius man dies in Homer snowmobiling accident

HOMER, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A 45-year-old man from Manlius has died after a snowmobile crash in the town of Homer, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 18 around 7 p.m., deputies responded to a call for a one-person snowmobile accident on Chapman Road, Snowmobile Trail Number S57 in Homer. 

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Mills Jr., of Manlius, lost control of his snowmobile. He was pronounced dead at the Cortland Regional Medical Center.

Mills was the only person operating the snowmobile.

The accident is still under investigation.
