2nd Madison County tornado confirmed

GEORGETOWN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that two tornadoes touched down in Madison County on Tuesday – one in the town of Georgetown and a second in the town of Brookfield.

Both tornadoes developed out of the same storm.

The agency told NewsChannel 9 Storm Team meteorologist John DiPasquale that the tornadoes had sustained winds of 90 miles per hour.

The towns sustained some damage – mainly trees and poles – consistent with tornadoes.

No injuries were reported.
