Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - More people visited the New York State Fair on Saturday than any day in its 168 year history.

120,617 visitors were on the Fairgrounds, which totals 101 more people than the previous record set in 1989 (120,516).

The second Saturday of the State Fair had 41,343 more visitors than last year, putting the Fair 64,089 ahead of last year's total attendance pace.

Fair organizers cited the good weather and shows as contributing to the record total.

Jason Aldean played the Grandstand Saturday night, while Uncle Kracker and Bell Biv Devoe had Chevy Court concerts.
