Geddes (WSYR-TV) - Anne Burrell isn't just a celebrity chef to those in Central New York, she's one of their own, born and raised in Cazenovia.

Anne has two passions: family and food.

She gets the best of both worlds this week.

Anne said, "I's not just about food, it's about family, it's memories about childhood."

One memory Anne has that many Central New Yorkers do as children is visiting the State Fair.

"I remember funnel cakes, salt potatoes, Gianelli sausage. I remember the smells of all those," Anne said.

Now, Anne's cooking will be among those smells at the State Fair, performing on Chevy Court.

"I'm the hometown girl. I'm so happy to be back," Anne said.

It's Anne's first visit to Central New York during the summertime in years. She's been spending time with her mom, who owns Flowers on Main in Cazenovia. She's also been bonding with her nieces and nephews in the area.
