Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Upstate Medical University in Syracuse has just finished the first phase of a major study on low-wage workers, defined as working adults who could not make ends meet without the help of at least one government program to pay basic household expenses.

The study was funded in part by the workforce development institute and led by upstate's occupational health clinical centers, which also funded the project.

Dan talks with Dr. Michael Lax, Clinical Centers Director, and Jeanette Zoeckler, a Public Health Project Manager for the OHCC.
