Scriba (WSYR-TV) - Novelis in Scriba is taking on the National Labor Relations Board this week.
Hearings are being held in Syracuse, after the company was ordered to recognize a union.
An effort to join the United Steelworkers Union failed by 15 votes earlier this year. But, the NLRB said Novelis committed violations so serious that it tainted the outcome.
Hearings in the case started on Wednesday, but dozens of witnesses are slated to testify and the process could take months.
