Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A man accused of robbing a disabled man in a wheelchair in Syracuse is under arrest.

Kwaheem Hunter, 23, surrendered to Syracuse Police shortly after learning that he was profiled on NewsChannel 9’s On the Lookout segment.

Police say Hunter worked with accomplices to rob the wheelchair-bound victim.

“They held him so he couldn't pull away from them and risked tipping him over in his wheelchair. One held him while the other went through his pockets and stole the cash that he had as well as personal items,” said Sgt. John Savage with the Syracuse Police Department.

Hunter was wanted on a warrant for Robbery in the 2nd Degree, a Class C felony.
