Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Nicholas Sosow, 42, has been named Fugitive of The Week by the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. Sosow is wanted for criminal contempt for allegedly violating a court order to stay away from his mother.

"He and his mother have had a contentious relationship," said Fugitive Task Force Supervisor Joe Ciciarelli, with the U.S. Marshals Service.

Ciciarelli said Sosow had a verbal argument with his mother at her home, which violated a court order that was issued. Ciciarelli said Sosow has been arrested nearly sixty times in the past twenty years on charges that include robbery, menacing and resisting arrest.

"He's an individual who has an anger issue and we need to get him off the street," said Ciciarelli.

According to Ciciarelli, the Task Force recently received information Sosow could be living on Syracuse's North Side. Anyone with information on Sosow's whereabouts is asked to call the Task Force tip line at (315) 473-7625. All calls will remain confidential.
