Teen fugitives wanted on drug charges

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Syracuse Police Warrant Squad is asking the public to be on the lookout for two teenagers who are wanted for failing to appear in court on drug charges.

Duffy Goff, 18, and Nicholos Rizzo, 19, were inside a vehicle at 1901 East Fayette Street when they were stopped by police in late April. Detectives say while in the process of arresting the pair for trespassing outside of an apartment complex, they discovered heroin in Goff's pants pocket.

According to police, heroin was also found when Rizzo was thoroughly searched in the booking area of the Justice Center Jail. Both young men were charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th Degree and criminal trespass. Rizzo is also facing promoting prison contraband, a Class D felony.

"It should be noted,these are bench warrants. These gentlemen were arrested that night, brought to the Justice Center, spent the night in jail and were arraigned and released to reappear. Now both have failed to reappear for their court appearances," said Syracuse Police Warrant Squad Supervisor, Sgt. John Savage.

Sgt. Savage believes both teens know they are wanted by police and he is seeking the public's assistance, "If anyone knows where they are, their associates, their vehicles or places where they hang out or frequent, please call our confidential tip line at 442-5230."

Nicholas A Rizzo is 5'9 and weighs 160 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. he has a tattoo on his right arm that reads, "Face Your Fears" and a tattoo on his left arm that says "Stay True."

Duff Goff is 5'5" tall, 130 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

All calls to the Syracuse Police Warrant Squad will remain confidential.
