Ithaca (WSYR-TV) – Ithaca Police have arrested a teenager who they considered “armed and dangerous” after a Sunday stabbing on West Village Place.

Police began looking for 19-year-old Zavierus King after they responded to the scene of a large group of people arguing and fighting in a parking lot – some of whom where armed with baseball bats and wooden clubs.

Police say they also found a victim who had been stabbed.

Although the victim did not want to cooperate with police, witnesses led police to begin their search for King.

He surrendered to police on Tuesday and was charged with menacing in the third degree.

On Sunday, police arrested 36-year-old Yvette King of Ithaca at the scene for third-degree menacing. She was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and served an Order of Protection and released without bail.

Anyone who can help police in their investigation should call Ithaca Police at (607) 272-9973.
