State Police trying to identify suspect who used a fake $100 bill in Marathon

Ithaca (WSYR-TV) – State Police are warning the public after a suspect used a very convincing counterfeit $100 bill at a Cortland County store.

They are also trying to identify the man who was caught on a surveillance camera using the bill at Gregg’s Market on State Route 11 in Marathon.

They said the white male used the bill to buy a gallon of cider.

The bill passed a security counterfeit marker test by the cashier.
