Syracuse Police ‘On the Lookout' for hit-and-run suspect who sent bicyclist to hospital

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are “On the Lookout” after a hit-and-run sent a bicyclist to the hospital on Friday.

Police say the 33-year-old bicyclist was riding north on Highland Street when he was struck by an SUV heading south at about 6 p.m.

The driver left without stopping and was last seen heading east on Beecher Street, according to police.

The car is described as a gray or light green SUV and police say it may have damage to the passenger side headlight and a possible broken windshield.

The bicyclist was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
