Oneida County shutting down roads at 6 p.m., declaring state of emergency

UTICA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Oneida County has declared a state of emergency and will shut down its roads starting at 6 p.m.

Multiple counties in Central New York and beyond have implemented travel bans as a powerful winter storm moves into the area.

Oneida County’s roads will remain closed until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

The ban covers all county, town, village, city, and state roadways.

Travel will be restricted to emergency and “essential” personnel.
