Oswego County man killed after motorcycle goes off road, hits utility pole

PALERMO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - An Oswego County man has died after his motorcycle went off road and struck a utility pole, according to the Oswego County Sheriff's Office.

According to deputies, 40-year-old Christopher Berg, of Palermo, was driving his motorcycle south on County Route 35 around 7:20 a.m. when he went off into the shoulder and hit the pole.

Berg was the only person involved in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

He was wearing a helmet.

The cause of the investigation is still under investigation.
