Oswego motorized bicyclist dies days after being struck by a car; driver charged

OSWEGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A town of Oswego man who was riding a motorized bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle on Friday night has died.

56-year-old William Todd succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

An Auburn woman – 32-year-old Faith Dechick – has been charged with DWAI, second-degree assault, and reckless driving.

According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Dechick was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe east on State Route 104 near West Lake Road when she struck Todd.

He was initially taken to Oswego Hospital with injuries that the Sheriff’s Office described as serious.

The Sheriff’s Office did not indicate whether Todd’s death would lead to any new charges for Dechick.
