SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Erie Boulevard Thursday evening.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the family.
Police responded to the scene in the 1400 block around 6:54 p.m.
Investigators say the pedestrian was trying to cross the roadway at the time of the accident.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
The driver remained at the scene, and has cooperated with the investigation.
Police have not issued any tickets.
They say more information will be released later.
