Police: Fugitive assault suspect is armed and dangerous

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a man who was allegedly high on spike and molly when he cut his girlfriend and beat her up.

Osirron Grimes is wanted on a felony bench warrant for:

- Second-degree assault
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Second-degree unlawful imprisonment
- Criminal obstruction of breathing
- Second-degree menacing
- Resisting arrest

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous, and that he suffers from mental issues.

According to police, Grimes’ girlfriend was trying to stop him from cutting himself when he turned the knife on her.

The woman locked Grimes out of her home in the 1400 block of Milton Avenue and when police arrived he was reportedly only wearing his underwear and was covered in blood and cuts.

Police say they used a taser twice to gain control over Grimes and take him into custody.

Grimes is a black male, who is 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds.

He has a lengthy arrest history, including burglary, robbery, assault, drugs, and criminal mischief charges.

His last known address is 109 Olive Street in the city of Syracuse.

Police believe he may be in the city, or in the Cicero area.
