Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have identified a motorcyclist who is in critical condition after a crash on I-690 on Monday night.

They say 62-year-old Paul Warren of Baldwinsville is in critical condition, but stable condition.  

Police say Warren was traveling westbound when his motorcycle collided with the passenger side of a westbound 2002 Toyota.

They say Warren’s motorcycle was launched into the eastbound lane.

Police say the crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. on I-690 near Hiawatha Boulevard.

Warren suffered what police described as serious injuries and was taken to Upstate University Hospital.

The highway reopened around 2:13 Tuesday morning after being shut down for several hours.

Police are still investigating the crash.

They have not issued any tickets.
