DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - DeWitt Police are crediting a call from a concerned resident for helping them catch two men suspected in a number of thefts in the Genesee Hills neighborhood.
They say a call about a suspicious person at around 2:39 a.m. Monday morning helped them find 21-year-old William Cronk Jr. of North Syracuse and 22-year-old Gregory Stone of East Syracuse.
According to police, they found the pair near the intersection of Haddonfield Drive and Lansdowne Road.
They were both charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and also petit larceny.
Investigators believe they were both involved in a number of thefts from vehicles in the area.
They were issued appearance tickets, and are set to appear in Town of DeWitt Court.
Police are asking people in the area to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
