Rochester (WSYR-TV) – Police say no arrests will be made after a woman broke a car window after seeing a dog locked inside of it in a Wegmans parking lot.

Police say the woman became upset when she saw the dog inside the car.

The windows were reportedly open only a few inches.

Police say she began pounding on the window with her shoe.

Security confronted the woman and then tried to find the car’s owner, according to police.

The woman ultimately broke the window, police say.

They do not believe the dog was harmed.

They say the dog was in the car for less than a half hour.
