Reports: Country legend Glen Campbell dead at 81

WSYR-TV - Country singer Glen Campbell has died at the age of 81, according to the Rolling Stone and TMZ.

Campbell had 21 Top 40 hits, including "Wichita Lineman," "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "By The Time I Get To Phoenix."

His career spanned over six decades, selling over 45 million records.

At age 75 (in 2011), Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He retired from music in that year.

Campbell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.

He is survived by his wife and eight children.
