Rico's Ristorante in East Syracuse set to close

EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - After 20 years in business, a popular Italian restaurant in East Syracuse is getting ready to close its doors.

There are plenty of Italian restaurants in Syracuse, but Rico's shines brightly after 20 years of good food, good service and good-sized portions.

“My father worked for Mr. Fred Grimaldi for about 20 years before the restaurant, so we owe a lot of credit to the Gramaldi family,” said owner Steve Geremia.

It seemed like the kind of restaurant that would stay open for ever, but Germia's Italian born father is ready to retire.

Rico's regulars are going to miss a lot about their signature restaurant, from the pasta dishes to the family atmosphere.
