Sheriff's Office releases armed robbery surveillance images

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance images of a man who they believe robbed a DeWitt convenience store in June.

The Sheriff’s Office began investigating after the ExpressMart location on Thompson Road in DeWitt was robbed on June 21 around 3:35 a.m.

The suspect used a handgun when he threatened the employee and demanded money.

Detectives, assigned to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division, interviewed witnesses who described the suspect as a black male in his mid-20s early 30’s, 5-7 tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing with a gray winter hat.

They believe the same suspect robbed the Golden Burma Market on South Street in Utica on June 20.

Investigators have also released images from that robbery.
