Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Overrun with cats and kittens, the Central New York SPCA is allowing adoptive families to ‘name their price’ for a new cat.

Their facility currently has more than 350 cats – nearly double their normal amount.

As part of the “name your price” deal, families will be able to make a donation of their choice to adopt any cat who is over 1 year old.

"It's a positive way for us to get the public's attention, let them know that we have a huge population here and we're trying to get them a good home,” said SPCA Executive Director Paul Morgan.

The deal will last for two months.

For more information, call the SPCA at (315) 454-4479.
