REMSEN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - State Police have confirmed that they are investigating a deadly crash in the Oneida County town of Remsen on Tuesday.
Route 12 between Bethel and Dustin roads re-opened around 2:45 p.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
Two cars collided in the northbound lane of the divided highway, near Dustin Road.
The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, the other driver suffered only minor injuries.
One of the two cars involved was engulfed in flames when first responders arrived.
They are not identifying the victim until the family has been notified.
The crash was reported around 7:36 a.m.
State Police say they will release additional details later.
