Granby (WSYR-TV) - State Police have identified a Fulton student killed in a car crash in the town of Granby on Tuesday.

Troopers 18-year-old say Dylan Blair of Fulton was driving his 1998 Saturn westbound on State Route 3 at about 4:48 p.m.

State Police say a disabled car on the shoulder of the road was causing traffic to slow while it passed.

Troopers say Blair attempted to pass the cars slowing down by driving into on-coming traffic.

State Police say the Saturn was hit head-on by a Hyundai Santa Fe, killing Blair and injuring three of his teenage passengers.

According to troopers, the following were taken to Upstate University Hospital:
  • Joshua Barnello, age 18, from Fulton suffered non-life threatening internal injuries
  • Brittany Donahue, age 17, from Fulton suffered facial fracture and lacerations
  • Miranda Bivens, age 18, from Oswego suffered non-life threatening internal injuries

Fulton schools officials confirmed that Barnello and Donahue are also Fulton students. They say Bivens graduated last year.

State Police say the female driver of the Sante Fe was the only person in the SUV and was also taken to Upstate University Hospital with minor injuries.

State Route 3 was shutdown between Rathburn Road and County Route 8 while State Police investigated.

State Police are still investigating the crash, and say another car with teenagers travelling with the Saturn were able to provide troopers with additional information.
