ONEIDA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - State Police are investigating after a number of reports of vehicle break-ins – mostly in Oneida County and northern Madison County.
All of the break-ins involved vehicles that were left unlocked.
The incidents occurred earlier in February in the town of Vienna and in the Rome area along Route 49.
Other incidents involving unlocked vehicles were reported along Route 31 in the town of Lenox.
On Monday, additional break-ins were reported on Lorena, Link, and Rome-Oriskany roads in the Rome area.
State Police have not indicated whether they believe all of the break-ins are linked to the same suspect or suspects.
State Police are reminding people to lock their vehicles.
