A Lowville woman has died following a crash that involved three cars in Lewis County early Thursday morning.
According to State Police, 37-year-old Meghan Mathys was driving southbound on State Route 12 in the Town of Martinsburg when she crossed over the center line and side-swiped another vehicle.
Mathys vehicle spun out into the northbound lane, where she then struck a utility truck.
The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. Mathys was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the utility truck was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Weather appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
State Police are still investigating the crash.
