Syracuse Airport renovations changes drop off, pick up areas

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The next stage of Syracuse Hancock Airport’s makeover begins on Monday, and the work to make the transformation will cause some traffic inconveniences over the next few months.

Crews will start tearing down the canopy between the parking garage and the terminal building.

That work will force the airport to close all lanes of traffic in front of the terminal, which means no curbside drop-off.

Drivers who are picking up or dropping off passengers can do so near the baggage claim at Terminal A and Terminal B.

For Delta and United pick up and drop off, turn left at the stoplight onto Constellation Way North.

For JetBlue, American, Allegiant and Air Canada, turn right at the stoplight onto Constellation Way South.

Work is expected to finish before the Thanksgiving holiday.
