Syracuse Police Chief's press conference on arrest of man charged in 2016 murder

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler on Tuesday addressed the arrest of an 18-year old male in connection with a December 2016 murder at Ballantyne Apartments in Syracuse.

18-year-old Khani Johnson has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted robbery.

Police say Johnson shot 39-year-old Jason Davis on Dec. 14 around 10:44 p.m.

Davis was driven to Upstate University Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Johnson was found in Hillsboro, Fla. with the help of Tampa police, and US Marshals.
