Syracuse Police: Gas station robber threatened clerk with a tire iron

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly threatened a North Midler Avenue gas station employee with a tire iron before robbing her.

Police responded to the Mirabito gas station around 8:43 p.m. Thursday night.

The employee told police that the suspect had threatened to hurt her with the makeshift weapon before she turned over cash from the register.

The suspect – a white male in his 40s or 50s – reportedly ran away north on North Midler Avenue.

The suspect was described as 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. During the robbery he was reportedly wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, glasses, jeans, and boots.
