Police: Syracuse homicide suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, call 911

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 26-year-old on the city’s North Side on Easter Sunday.

Police say 24-year-old Jovon McGloun should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you should call 911.

In addition to the Lodi Street shooting that led to the death of Wynban Goddard, McGloun is wanted for second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police began investigating when they responded to the shooting around 5:07 p.m. on Sunday, April 16.

They found Goddard at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Goddard was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he died from his injuries that night.

Police said interviews and evidence led them to McGloun.

If you have any information that might lead police to McGloun, call (315) 442-5222.
