SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating after a shooting on Cortland Avenue in the city’s South Side neighborhood on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, two victims had arrived at local hospitals in private vehicles around the same time.
A 22-year-old woman was taken to Crouse Hospital suffering from a shoulder injury.
Shortly afterward, police learned that a 29-year-old man was at Upstate University Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds to his arm and leg.
The male victim refused to cooperate with police.
Witnesses told police they saw a black male in dark clothing firing a gun in the area before leaving in a dark colored mini-van with other men.
Syracuse Police had not released any suspect information by 7 p.m.
