Syracuse Police investigating Westcott Street credit-union robbery

Syracuse Police are on the scene after a credit union on Westcott Street was robbed Thursday morning.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are investigating after a credit union on Westcott Street was robbed Thursday morning.

Police say no one was injured during the incident.

They responded to the reported robbery at the Syracuse Cooperative Federal Credit Union around 10:20 a.m.

Police say the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money and then ran north on Westcott Street with the cash.

The suspect was described as black or Hispanic man in his 20s.

During the incident, he was reportedly wearing a cream-colored shirt and dark pants, along with a black baseball cap with a green brim with the word “York” on it.
